Attleboro – A city man accused of establishing a Crack Info Line was arraigned Thursday in Attleboro District Court on charges of contributing to the deliquency of a minor and vending machine fraud.

Christian R. Miller 22, of 24 Emory St. had been sumoned into court on the charges. Innocent pleas were entered by the court on his behalf.

The allegations stem from incidents in January. Flyers were circulated at one of the city schools, which gave a telephone number of the Crack Info Line and advocated legalization of crack. When the telephone number was dialed a recorded message advocated having intercourse with one’s pet dog or cat, shoplifting and commiting techno crimes.

According to police, detectives talked with Miller on Jan. 17 that the vulgar language in his message was unacceptable and encouraged children to commit crimes was illegal. These were crimes such as shoplifting, stealing and using illegal drugs.

An article about the Crack Info Line appeared in the Sun Chronicle the next day.

Police say the number was called the day after the article was published and message was changed.

Miller was released on his own recognizance and the case continued to April 27.
