Impersonations
Impersonations can take you past a campaign based solely on harrassment. harassment alone will almost never cripple an enemy but impersonations, if done with imagination and aimed at weak points can have serious effects on your target.
dont worry if you dont do voices or dont even know what your target sounds like. unless they are famous or always do business with whom you are trying to fool you have nothing to worry about. And even if their voice is known you could pretend to be a secretary or an aide calling on behalf of your target. large corporations after all dont have a single voice.
after deciding on a weak point to hit get your story straight before you make the call. rehearse or keep notes in front of you if you can talk without sounding like you arte reading from a script. know in your mnind what the outcome of each call should be. be prepared to answer any given questions including background information on who you are supposed to be. try to think of any quesstions possible the other party may ask.
the most important thing to know is the “language”. each profesion has certain words or phrases not used by the general public. certain things are stated differently than in everday life. call a cop and pretend to be one if you dont believe me.
sometimes the people or the situation will demand a telephone number to reach you at. besides giving out your own number and having to answer it as the person or company you are supposed to be (which is also dangerous) you have two choices.
the first are telephone numbers that always ring or are always busy. you’ll have to find these by scanning in the exchange in which you are supposed to based. the best part of this method is that it is free and requires almost no work after you have found the number.
the second choice is to get a voice mail box. these can be purchased in any area code or exchange. hacked vmb’s cant really be used because people may call during business hours and get an operator thus potentially blowing your cover. vmbs offer more of a business apearance then the always ring or always busy numbers. never underestimate the value of having a number where someone can get baqck to you.
some impersonations can be harassment and nothing else. things like calling the business office of the phone company and ordering changes to their service or ordering phone books and pizzas to their residence or business are harassment and nothong else.
the same amount of effort applied in a different way can multiply your effect. things like announcing the initiation or filing of bankruptcy proceedings or product recalls can have serious effects on your target corporation.
sending out fake orders from the home office can have a demoralizing effect. cancelling or doubling the advertising placed with certain newspapers and radio stations is also pretty fun. speaking of radios why not get on a radio talk show pretending to be a ceo of your favorite company and expouse all sorts of wierd beliefs. tell people that the money they spend on your products goes into reseavch of creating an alternative food source out of aborted fetuses.
the first rule as always is to know what you are doing. establish the story before you make the call, perhaps even having a written script in front of you to work from. decide what your goal is regarding your target and try to come up with something that might help you towards those means.
for instance lets say the complete destruction of your targets company is the goal. impersonating an executive of your target you could inform all types of people the plans for filing bankruptcy, initiate product recalls, inform clients of the discontinuation of certain services persuading them to switch companies or even fire lower level employees. what about making rascist statements on talk radio or even something as simple as ordering tons of phone books and other services by phone to harass and cost them money.
lets say that your target was something as huge as the united states government, how could impersonation work?
the federal executive board determines snow days and administrative leave. a call to the regional manager of all northeast federal operations from the federal executive board could get everyone sent home. the call would go something like this:
“this is steve watkins of the federal executive board”
the secretary would then patch you through to the regional manager.
“hello ralph. this is steve watkins with the federal executive board. how are you?”
“fine steve how are you?”
” ralph i thought i’d better call. we’ve decided that as of 3:00pm you can let everybody go.”
“great thanks for calling.”
now every government employee in the northeast will go home at 3:00pm.
during world war 2 the allies could have won sooner if it hadn’t been for otto skorzeny. he walked into the the command center and people were running around, someone had spread the rumor that hitler had been assassinated. not a single person challenged him as he took control of the phone lines directing the troops in the field. had a double agent been present the possibility existed for turning the war effort around by making a few phone calls.
